SIMS .net Reporting - Advanced

Designed for:
School staff who wish to increase their SIMS.net reporting skills. This course would be more beneficial for users who have previously attended the SIMS.net Reporting - Wider Knowledge course

At the end of the course you will be able to:

• Learn to use standard RTF templates
• Create user-defined templates
• Define page breaks and group data
• Use sub tables and report inserts
• Use key fields and dates
• Define an Analysis report
• Run and manipulate an Analysis report

Aims:
To enable new and/or existing staff to view or report upon data held in the SQL modules. This course focuses on advanced presentation outputs from SIMS.net to display report data

Benefits:
Enables users to extract and then manipulate information held in the SIMS.net database in a format to suit their individual needs

Pre-requisites:
Basic ICT Skills - use of mouse and keyboard, basic Windows and file management skills, A good knowledge of how to construct basic reports in SIMS.net - i.e. how to select appropriate fields and related fields, set filters, define sort orders and apply effective dates, a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel would be advantageous
