Performance Analysis - Secondary

Designed for:
Senior managers, teachers or administration staff wishing to produce analysis of assessment data held in Assessment Manager.

At the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Create and use Group Analysis to compare results of a number of groups, and apply additional vulnerable group filters.
  • Create and use Aspect Analysis to compare a spread of results for a number of aspects.
  • Create and use Chance Analysis to directly compare two aspects by level/range, and Result Set Analysis to compare seasonal results.
  • Create and use Tracking Grid analysis to review progress over time, and against standard targets.
  • Use Progression and Value added Lines to generate targets/expectations/predictions based on national achievements or past student performance
  • Review progress against national Progression Lines.

Aims:
To enable delegates to deliver statistical and graphical analyses to inform Senior Management Teams.

Benefits:
Assessment data, including statutory key stage, year 11 examinations and school-based testing, can be analysed either in graphical or grid form

Pre-requisites:
Delegates should have some knowledge of SIMS Assessment Manager including experience in using and setting up 'mark sheets' and 'aspects'. It would be advantageous if delegates have an understanding of analyses required at school.

This is a one day course which runs from 09.30 - 15.30.
