Discover - Including Assessment Graphs

Senior leadership Team and Assessment Co-ordinators

At the end of the course you will be able to:

• Generate various styles of graph in Discover
• Save customised graphs for Your own use
• View and Export the data behind the graphs
• Generate Dynamic User Defined Groups for Use in Sims.net
• Use the Pre-defined Key Stage Assessment graphs
• Create formulaic Discover Aspects in SIMS.net
• Transfer Discover Aspects to the Configure Tool
• Use the Configuration Tool to create Assessment Graphs

Aims:
This course provides delegates with the necessary skills to be able to use the Discover module and Discover Configuration Tool to analyse both Pastoral and Assessment data using graphical displays.

Pre-requisites:
Schools must be using Assessment Manager in order to be able to make full use of this functionality within SIMS. Delegates should have a good understanding of the assessment manager module and the terminology used. (Including Results, Aspects,Grade sets and Result sets).

Staff wanting to use Discover for managing Assessment information would be advised to attend this course and not the half day Discover Getting started course

Note:

There is a minimum machine specification of CPU Core Duo 2 or higher 

Other information:
Pre defined graphs have been provided with default data items specified by Capita. Additionally a utility has been provided to enable you to specify some of your own data items so that so that you can measure and analyse the data as you wish.,
Dynamic User Defined Groups can aid the monitoring of changing memberships within vulnerable groups.
